Aglio

One of the first dishes Jeremy, as a suggestion from a friend was Aglio. At the time he substituted chicken, which we do not recommend, it quickly has become one of our go to recipes. However, spicy sausage might be okay, my stomach just doesn't handle really spicy food very well. This meal is quick and easy to prep, and usually on the table in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients
5 Italian sausages (we use Jenni-O Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages)
1/3 cup & 1 Tbps olive oil
1 tsp crushed red pepper
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced (or 2 tsp pre-minced)
1 lb pasta, cooked (we like to use Trader Joe's Brown Rice Pasta)

Directions
Put 1 Tbps of olive oil in a large sauce pan and then place the sausages in as well. Let brown on each side, flipping them every so often.

While sausages are browning, fill a pot with water to boil pasta, and cook pasta as directed on the package. Be sure to drain and rinse the pasta, and return it to its pot.

Once the sausages are browned on the outside, turn off the stove, and place sausages on a heat resistant cutting board, and slice into about 1/4" coins.

Put the sausage coins back in the sauce pan, and add the rest of the olive oil, crushed red pepper, and garlic. Cook until sausage coils are no longer pink in the middle.

When pasta and sausage mixture are done combine the two in the pasta pot (or sauce pan if it is big enough).

Serve hot and ENJOY!
